THE TEST OF TOLERANCE

In the past, have you identified as a Christian, yes or no?

Do you think of QAnon cultists as true believing Christians?

I mean, whatever else happens, would you admit that in terms of your own perception of the movement?

QAnon changed it right?

I mean, when you saw the emergence of Qanon, didn't you personally think to yourself, oh this is different!

So when you look at the QAnon conspiracy theorists, do you say to yourself, yeah they're Christians.

They're Christians like me!

Do you say that to yourself?

No, not like you.

You wouldn't say that about yourself and them.

Do you think of them as true-believing Christians?

We are standing on the precipice of whether or not this country is going to remain secular, or will it get forked over to the QAnon cultists who call themselves Christians and truly believe it?

Barring that you scry into their hearts to say whether or not they be quote, unquote, real-true-believers, how could you ever know otherwise?

Only if you believe Christianity to be more than a state of mind.

At this point I feel obliged to skip across nearly 2000 years of literature in which men and women, but mostly men, have attempted to make the case for Christianity as something more than philosophy and less than myth.

With so much great reading to look forward to, who could begrudge a cynical doubting Thomas for asking simple, honest questions?

And now let's take it one step further, for we see taking place around us the set of conditions that will lead to A.I. (not A-One, Linda) to become revered and worshipped like an oracle or even as a deity itself.

Should we accept that there's such a thing as 'Christian' A.I.?

Or can we all agree that A.I. is a Godless heathen among inert material non-entities?

Are you prepared to be tolerant of that, you happy heretic?
